When we talk about sexual health, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), we talk about the "state of physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being related to sexuality; which is not the absence of people's sickness, dysfunction or disability". This concept requires that we understand that being all of us sexed beings, the positive or negative experience of that sexuality reality is what will make us have or not well-being and sexual health. From fertilization up until death, these experiences are born from values, beliefs, social constructs, attitudes, acceptance of the body and self-realization in the personal and social fields. Sexuality is much more than coitus, is every kiss, word, gesture, hug among others, which fills us with the sensation of feeling loved, needed and respected, reaffirming our value of simply Being.
